WANT 7/27: My Favorite New Listings

Every week, I tour new listings that have just come on the market or will be arriving shortly.  It is paramount to see properties in person because MLS listings don't always convey the whole picture (for better or worse).

Wednesdays I tour Carpinteria, Summerland, and Montecito.  Thursdays I tour Santa Barbara.  Fridays I tour Goleta and Hope Ranch.

If I don't go see the inventory, I'm no more educated than your average Zillow addict, which is most of you :)  That's fine for you, but I get paid to know the in's and out's of real estate in Santa Barbara...I better know what I'm talking about.

This new segment dubbed "WANT" is my personal log of properties that are of interest for one or more reasons: they're a good value, they're sexy, they're of note, etc.

I won't go into too much detail about these properties, because that is up to the listing agents.  I will, however, give you the inside scoop!  Without further adieu...

1601 Gillespie St  (Listed by Pamela Regan)

Vintage, brimming with character, craftsman details, high ceilings.  One of the more desirable streets on the West Side.  A home for the nostalgic buyer!

315 Cordova Dr  (Listed by Dan Johnson)

Completely reimagined, stunning remodel, open concept, concrete floors, modern, desirable Marine Terrace neighborhood.  Very little thru-traffic on this street.

1216 State St R701  (Listed by Cristal Clarke)

Second highest floor in the famous Granada Theater, tallest building in Santa Barbara, reminiscent of NY loft, views for days!  Such a treat to enter the building under the marquee.
